- Position: Proprietor
- Biggest Challenge: 12 children – need I say more!
- Greatest Joy: “Sitting on the deck with a glass of “”anything Rappahannock”" while appreciating the fact of whats in front of me used to be a cow pasture! It’s a great feeling to see the results of something you have built from the ground up (with a lot of help of course!)”
- All Time Favorite Wine: “Magnum of 1959 Chateau Talbot – “pure silk”
- All Time Favorite Rappahannock Wine: “Do you really think I could have a single favorite? How about the 2000 Viognier (first bottle ever from RC); the 2003 Meritage (“”silk purse from a sows ear”" – it was the most difficult vintage ever); 2005 Viognier – winner of our first Governors Cup; most any Cab Franc; and the 2009 Viognier (it’s fantastic)…oh did I mention the 2006 “R” (“Super Meritage”)? Decisions, decisions …”
